To finish off the day, we had dinner with a lovely view of the bay and washed it down with gelato. We had a great day, and we’re all looking forward to tomorrow, when we’re going on a cruise down the fjord. Can’t wait!

“What did the water say to the land?”
“Whale, I’m not sure. What did it say?”
“Nothing. It just waved.”
“Oh, I sea what you did there!”
“I’m shore you did.”
Next, we took a walk down a nearby path to admire the beautiful view. We saw wild blueberries, a sundial, and some more whales! I’ll post some more pictures later.
(Speaking of pictures, don’t tell Grandma, but I got some of her!)
Today, we went to the Marine Mammal Museum. The whale exhibit was great, and it explained all sorts of whale behaviour and species! This is one of many belugas out front. Her name is Bobbie, and she was very happy to see everyone.
To finish the day, we had a lovely buffet dinner at “Restaurant Le Bateau,” complete with de la tarte à sucre! Very tasty.
I suppose I should go to bed now, seeing as we have a fun day planned for tomorrow at the Museum for Marine Mammals nearby. I’ll be sure to post pictures of the exhibits we see!

After the tour, we visited the Tadoussac sand dunes. The information centre was closed (it’s only open in the fall when the birds they study are migrating), but we were still able to wander around the cliffs and marvel at the beautiful sights.
We got very lucky and got a visit from a Humpback whale! Unfortunately, I only got a video of it, but I’ll edit it then post it later.
On our way back to the docks, we saw a group of beluga whales, too! They’re the white blobs.
With that, our whale-watching adventure was over and we headed back to land.
Then, two Fin whales showed up! They spouted and dove together.
Whales! Minke whales! There were tons of them, at least 10, all around the boat. The guide said they were hunting and feeding. We could see them coming up for breath and spouting, then diving and moving in slow circles. It was really neat!
This poster was in the “designated waiting area” for the whale-watching tour today. It was a gorgeous day, warm and sunny, and not too too chilly on the river. We set out excitedly, hoping to see as many whales as we could.
At first, we didn’t see much at all (mainly because a thick fog rolled in), but that didn’t last for long…
